OUR COCA-COLA WORLD ATLANTA EXPERIENCE|| REVIEW

 

Good afternoon, wonderful, amazing, sweet and lovely people. Thank you for checking out my blog today. Today is a beautiful day and I am very excited to share our experience at Coca-Cola World with you all today. Welcome to Maryamsjoyfullife!

So I had been telling the kids about Coca-Cola world for a while but hadn't made the time to visit. 

We finally did it and it was worth it! The reason we follwoed through with our plan was because Le'Veon and Zoe competed in a game called War and Le'Veon won. I told them if either one won, we would go to Coca-Cola World. The game was very entertaining and the kids played so hard liek their lives depended on it lol... I was a very rowdy cheerleader too lol..

We enjoyed taste testing different coke products from all over the world. The kids even said their favorite part was the taste test.

Another fun experience was smelling the new fragances for coke's next products. The kids had fun with it but Le'Vy kept smelling the coffee bean over and over again lol. It was so funny.

This was a fun room to visit. It was like a memories room. In this room where the above picture was taken, you were given a pen and a paper to write your coca-cola story. While we didn't write anything down, we saw others who did. It was fun!

It was very rewarding watching ym kids have a blast exploring coca-cola world. Zo'e really liked it and is still talking about the experience. This was also my first time visiting Coca-cola world and I couldn't be happier doing it with my kids.

There's so much more that I could share with you here but some of it is better saved for my memories lol. If you have not visited yest, make sure you do, you will be inspired.

OUR EXPERIENCE AT LEGOLAND ATLANTA|| REVIEWS

 

Hello everyone, I hope this blog meets you well. Today is the official start of daylight saving time and it is amazing. I got an extra hour of sleep and thought the kids would let me take another but it didn't happen. How are you? I am hoping this blog meets you well. Thank you for checking out Maryamsjoyfullife blog today. This is a beautiful day indeed.

So, I told the kids about a week ago about Legoland and they got very excited. It took a few days and we were able to finally go and have the experience. Aparently, Legoland Atlanta at Phipps plaza, Georgia is a big deal. We ran into some folks who came in from out of state with family, to check it out. Here I was, a mama who lives in the neighborhood just visiting for the first time. Yay me! Not really. It is crazy how we have gems in front of us but never realize it, until someone else points them out. 

With all that said, I am very happy that the kids and I went to Legoland Discovery Center at Phipps Plaza. to have a great time. The kids had fun and of couese, I did too. There is a lot to do and your kids won't get bored, if you ever visit. Mine certainly did have a blast but for Zoe's tantrum when it was time for VR racing experience. Zoe cried during the whole lego VR race experience and I think that might have spoiled Levy's experience a little but Levy didn' seem to care. When I asked if he enjoyed it, he said he did but that Zoe cried the whole time.

I highly recommend Legoland Discovery Center in Atlanta , at Phipps plaza. It is a must if you live in Geogia. 

Highlight of our day was getting lost looking for our truck. After like 15 mins of roaming the parking lot and travelling up and down the elevators, Le'Veon saved us by pointing the way to us. What can I say, I am blessed with two geniuses by God.

PUTTING MY KIDS FIRST ALSO INVOLVES GETTING THE RIGHT FURNITURE PIECES

 

Good morning everyone. Thank you for checking out my blog today. I am very happy to see you here. Today, I wanted to share a story with you about how I got my new furniture and why. If you have kids you know that they are curious, messy and can be destructive. So, my last dining set had cloth lining on the chairs and it was always difficult to keep them clean. I couldn't even start explaining how tiring it got for me to always have to scrub the mess they leave after their meals. To be frank with you, I don't want to spend hours cleaning my dining set after only a few minutes of dinner, breakfast or lunch on it. I started researching a great option for a mama with kids. A few months prior, my living room set was replaced because the kids broke the couch and also soiled it with uncleanable food stains.

Well, I thought that getting a new set with leather seats would be perfect because all I'd have to do is get a damp cloth and wipe it off after each meal. 

One day, I came across a nice set while browsing  the internet. I saved the image of it and had it printed off at Walmart and placed it on my vision board. I went by American Signature Furniture to see if I could find the one I had on my vision board, to my surprise, I found what I was looking for. I made a downpayment on it and decided I would go back and pick it up. 

After about a couple of months, I was finally ready to go back and pick it up. It turned out the table I wanted initially was no longer available but I didn't get discouraged. I looked around for a replacement and found another tampered round glass table with wood base. It looked perfect. It turned out the chairs that came with this table were not available. I chose a couple of chairs from the previous table I had wanted and the two that they had that came with the new table. 

Day of pickup, I was told my stuff was not avialable but I asked what day they had advised to come by and pick up on my receipt, they confirmed it was that same day that I was there for pickup. It also turned out that the chairs they had available were the ones I had on my vision board. It was crazy to me that everything aligned and I got the very same chairs I wanted. These chairs are easy to clean and after each meal, I spend about 45 seconds cleaning, instead of the whole hour. 

Even my kids love the new set.

 

Now there's less mess for this happy mama to clean and she is not complaining at all.

AT OUR HOTEL GETAWAY THEY WANTED BISCUITS AND SAUSAGES|| FAIRFIELD INN AND SUITES

 

Good evening, wonderful, amazing, sweet and lovely people. Hope this blog meets you well. It's such a pleasure to be able to share another blog with you all on this beautiful Sunday evening in Hampton, Georgia.

Last week, my sweet babies and I took a much needed break from home for a short getaway in Buckhead, Atlanta. I was excited about it and so were my babies. Of course I asked them what they were looking forward to and they said the indoor pool. My kids love the swimming pool and they didn't get that from me. I am from the Sahara dessert okay? Lol... I didn't go near a pool until I was 15 years old.

The name of the hotel we stayed at is Fairfield Inns and Suites by Marriott in Buckhead, Atlanta. I loved the location of the hotel and the staff were friendly. The kids and I had a blast at the swimming pool. The depth was 3ft deep and it was perfect. My son had a blast. I think one of the best things about the hotel is the indoor pool. The price is fair and worth it also. Loved parking on site and it was only $12 per day. What?! 

Breakfast was complimentary and that's amazing because not every hotel offers that. Here comes what I want to share with you today. So the morning before we checked out, we went to eat breakfast. My kids asked for biscuits and sausages. I advised them that we would have to eat what the hotel had for us, as this  was not our home. I don't think they understood what I was explaining but they kindly accepted it. The hotel's selection of breakfast food was not bad but I wished they had warm eggs, sausages and biscuits. They had some frozen sandwiches but they are not the same as fresh. My kids got to see first hand how different breakfast can be else where, for the first time. They finally settled for breakfast muffins and orange juice. While I ate a little bit of the frozen sandwich and drank a hot cup of deca

If I could suggest one thing for the Fairfield Inn and Suites by Marriot at Buckhead, Atlanta, to improve on, it would be to make warm eggs, biscuits and sausages available for families. Maybe I'm being partial because that's what I make my kids every morning lol.

I felt refreshed to go back to work when we got back from our getaway. Now we are looking forward to another getaway.

MY DAUGHTER DREW CRAYONS ALL OVER THE WALLS|| MAGIC ERACER REVIEW

A few days ago, my sweet baby; Zoe drew crayons all over the house. I tried to clean it up with every cleaning product I have in the house but nothing worked. I mean, I scrubbed till my hand was aching but it didn't work. The paint was coming off the wall and I had to stop and think. I thought surely the crayon makers must have thought of something that could clean it off the wall, should any child decide to go on a coloring spree. 

Then the idea came to ask my sweet and amazing mommy subscribers for help. And help came!!!! I am so grateful for my team of support. They have my back! There were a ton of suggestions sent to me.

 

The first picture you saw has crayon marks all over my wall. In this picture, the marks are not there anymore. Magic Eracer did it!

Mayonnaise was one of many suggestions given and I so happened to have a jar in my fridge. I thought, if they suggested this, then it must work. Well, I tried it but it didn't work. The instruction was to put a generous amount on the crayon lines and let seat for 15 minutes and then clean with a wet rag. I left it for a little bit longer than 15 minutes. I wanted it to really work. Well, it didn't.

I filmed another video sharing my experience with Mayonnaise and how it didn't work. Thereafter, I got another suggestion but this time, almost all the mamas suggested Magic Eracer. Prior to this event, I had not thought of Magic Eracer, neither had I ever used it.

I didn't even know what Magic Eracer looked like or what it was used for. Until about 3 days ago. I decided to go to the store and purchase one. I went to Dollar General and bought their brand of Magic Eracer. Apparently, any brand works.The store brands are usually cheaper. Most people may buy Mr. Clean Magic Eracer; which is fine and it costs a littler more than store brands. I would like to add that any brand works. 

Anyways, I came home and went to work on cleaning my walls. This was after convincing my son that the Magic Eracer is  not his. For some reason, my kids think that everything that comes in a box must be for them. They love opening presents like mama😆.

MY MORNING ROUTINE WITH A CUP OF SPICED TEA

Hello wonderful, amazing, sweet and lovely friend. I hope you're having an amazing 2020 and are guarding your energy field from energy vampires. Welcome to Maryam's Joyful Life. Today is a beautiful day!

Before we go into today's topic. I met an amazing person the other day. He is about to be 85 but doesn't look a day older than 50. I started a conversation with him and he told me that one of the secrets is exercising and eating the right stuff. Thank you Jack. Your energy was beautiful and I am so thankful to have met you and talked with you.

What is my morning routine? For starters, my morning routine is flexible and dynamic. The only part I can tell you that is 99% of the time the same is my tea. I love tea. Do you like tea? I'm always on the search for a new type of natural tea that could give a blast of natural flavors to my tastebuds. There's something calming and glorious about a hot cup of tea in the morning. I can't really explain it like I'd like to, but I'll try anyway.

A cup of natural spiced tea in the morning, is like walking out of a negative atmosphere into a very positively charged atmosphere, which removes every ounce of negativity from you. It instantly leaves you feeling invincible, like you never had a negative experience. That's it! It's absolutely miraculous.

In short, I love teas. I also enjoy making my own from fresh ingredients such as ginger roots, garlic, cinnamon, mint and I could go on and on.

This morning, I made me a glorious pot of fresh ginger tea. It was amazing! I still have some left and you bet I'll be enjoying it through out the day.
I make my ginger tea by slicing up my ginger root into smaller bits and pieces. Place the pieces into a teapot and add about 2 cups of water into the pot and let boil. I then turn off the stove and let simmer for about 10 minutes. I get a cup and pour me a glorious cup and add a bit of honey and enjoy!

I recently came across a mini granite mortar and pestle on Amazon. Many years ago, in my father's house, I used to use wooden mortar and pestle to pound spices and yams. We also had a granite grinding stone for our spices. I was very surprised and intrigued to see a granite mortar and pestle. Of course, I wanted to check it out. I must say I'm very glad I tried it. I pounded my ginger roots in it and it turned out amazing. All of the spicy flavors expanded and when I boiled it for my tea. OMG! The tea was glorious! You need to try this mortar and pestle for yourself. It's a multi-purpose item for your pantry.

I love cooking! I love cooking! I love cooking! I can't say that loud enough. I love cooking for a small crowd and a big crowd. It really doesn't matter who I'm cooking for. I just love it! Cooking is very therapeutic and fun for me. I can cook in any space small or big, but cooking in an open kitchen like this one, pictured below is amazing!

If you like open spaces, this one would put you at another level. Or maybe it's just me. I love this picture, makes me want to jump in the kitchen and start cooking.

Cooking for me is about flavors. I love a rich mixture of spiced flavor like McCormick's Old Bay Seasoning. Old Bay represents a rich outburst of food beauty on my tastebuds. Your tastebuds activate richly when you take a bite of my Old Bay seasoned fried or baked. It's delicious!

I love Old Bay Seasoning soooo much! There's no time I make my signature Old Bay seasoned fried chicken for my sweet man,  that he doesn't shower me with complements.  Who doesn't like complements right?😏 It is really goooood!
I have been using Old Bay Seasoning for over 6 years and I am convinced that I will use it forever!

 If you don't eat meat like me, not to worry. You can use Old Bay Seasoning to spice up your veggie diet too. It's very good on vegetables too. If you are a pescatarian, you're in great company too. Old Bay Seasoning is great for that too.

Old Bay Seasoning is great on BBQ chicken too. Clean up your chicken and marinade it in your Old Bay Seasoning. Add your BBQ sauce over it and let sit for about 2 to 3 hours. Then bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes. Let cool for 10-15 minutes and serve.

As a mom, life is not about me anymore and I think that's okay. I know I speak for most moms when I say that my needs come last and my kids come first EVERY TIME! There are downsides to putting yourself last but most times it's what you have to do to keep your home peaceful.

I love buying toys and items that entertain, challenge and teach my little ones how to be interactive and share. For a second there, I was thinking about what toys to get for my kids and then I received an email from mommedtech.com about a collaboration. Which was just what I needed. My kids don't want to put down the dinosaur bubble gun. I have been having to break fights over that thing. WHAT TO WEAR TO WORK OR BUSINESS MEETINGS INSPO

Are you seeking inspiration or guidance on what to wear/buy for work or business meetings or even interviews? I got you covered. I love sharing my useful tips with you. It is always my joy to bring meaning to your life and inspire your next level.
I filmed a whole video talking about what to wear and staples for every wardrobe. If you are interested in watching it, I have shared the video in this post.

Everyone needs some wardrobe staples in their closets. Staples such as a black suit/jacket, a pair of black pants or a black skirt. These NEVER go out of fashion or use. I will share some pictures with you here too. All of the clothes featured were bought at a discounted rate. Stores featured are Ross dress for less; Old Navy,  Venus, and Nadine West. 

When you have a black skirt, pair of pants and a jacket, you've laid a solid foundation on which to build your wardrobe. What you need next are colors and patterns to put different looks together.

This jacket is a blue/black jacket that goes with patterns like the floral blouse I'm wearing under it.

 This is great for a work day or a business meeting or even an interview.

I really like this long tail jacket from VENUS. It's beautiful. Wear it over a nice blouse on a pair of pants like the one seen in the picture and you're ready to conquer that interview/day

You can also switch up your style by wearing a maroon blouse over your skirt untucked for a casual day at work.

 Or you can wear it tucked in as seen in the picture. It's really up to you.

 Or you can wear a jacket over it.

If you're feeling kinda inspired and excited, you can try some bring colors as seen in the picture with a jacket over it.

Or you can wear a jacket over that dress you love to mix it up a little bit.

 You can wear it buttoned or not. It just really depends on your preference.
