MY EASY MEAT SAUCE RECIPE FOR PASTA

Hello wonderful, amazing, sweet and lovely people. How are y'all doing today? I hope you're all having an amazing day today and are not letting anyone steal your joy. Welcome to Maryam's Joyful Life. Today is a beautiful day. Thank you for being a part of my world.

I love food! Food is good to me. Do you love food? Is food good to you? I hope so. I love cooking and enjoying my food too.

Today's post is about food. I love food and I love sharing my food.

My Easy Meat Sauce for Spaghetti is a win anytime in my kitchen. My kids love it and I believe yours will too. There are days I want to spend a whole lotta time in the kitchen and then there are days when I want to spend only a few minutes in the kitchen. This Sauce is very time-saving and delicious.

What You Will Need:

A Jar of Spaghetti Marinara Sauce

2/3 Cup of Chopped Onions

1 tablespoon Chopped Garlic

A pinch of Salt

A sprinkle of Italian Seasoning

1/2 tablespoon Sugar(optional)

1 pound ground beef

1/2 cup water

Get a saucepan,  place on stove at medium high heat

Put  your ground beef in the pot and stir for about 5 minutes.

Then add your onions and garlic. Stir pot's content until onion is translucent and ground beef is fully cooked. Then drain the grease out. Some people like to rinse meat to remove all excess grease from meat but I don't because you lose the flavor. In stead, I drain the grease out.

Place pot back on the stove at medium heat and add your seasoning. Stir until all of your seasonings have blended in.

Next add your marinara sauce and stir until ingredients are perfectly combined. Then add your sure and water. Stir once again and cover pot and let cook for 10 minutes or until the oil is bouncing at the top.

Turnoff stove and let sauce sit for 5 minutes and you are ready to serve on your favorite pasta.

I hope this was helpful. Please enjoy and come back for more recipes.

With gratitude,

Maryam

BAKED TILAPIA AND FRIED RICE RECIPE

Hello wonderful, amazing, sweet and lovely people. How are y'all doing today? I hope you are all having a great day and are not letting anyone steal your joy. Welcome to Maryam's Joyful Life. Today is a beautiful day! Thank you for checking out my blog today.

I love food! Food is an essential part of my life. I don't know what I would do without food. Food keeps you alive. Food also brings joy to my heart and life lol.

Do you love food or are you one of those who count calories before eating a meal? I am an active woman and for most people, my body may look like I count calories, but I DON'T. I eat what I love and what looks appealing to me. I love food from different cultures and I plan on doing a series of posts featuring different foods on my channel and here on the blog. So, make sure you subscribe to get notified.

Here we go! Today's recipe is pretty easy.

Here is my list of ingredients:

1 1/2 cups of Jasmine Rice

A pound of skinless boneless tilapia

2 cups of frozen mixed stirfry veggies

1 teaspoon Weber's Kick'N Chicken Seasoning

1/2 teaspoon Garlic salt

1 1/2 teaspoon Chef Merito's Steak & Meat Seasoning

1/2 a teaspoon table grind black peppers

3 Tablespoons olive oil

1/4 cup of chopped onion

Direction:

Turn your oven on 360 Degree F.

On a baking sheet lined with aluminum foil, place your washed tilapia fillets 1 inch apart.

Sprinkle your black pepper lightly on your Tilapia fillets.

Next sprinkle your Weber's Kick'N Chicken Seasoning on them. Making sure that they are coated nicely with the seasoning.

Lastly, sprinkle a tablespoon of olive oil on them and place them in the oven(top rack) to cook for 15 minutes.

Jollof Rice:

Get a deep sauce pan or your favorite pot. Place it on your stove top at medium high, to heat for about 2 minutes.

Add 2 tablespoons of olive oil to the pot. Let heat up about 2 minutes.

Add your chopped onions and stir for about 2 minutes or until onions become translucent.

Add your dry rice to the content and stir. Fry(stirring the pot content the whole time) the rice for about 4 minutes or until parts of the rice is golden brown. That should be about 4 minutes. Turn down the heat to medium not high and not low just right.

Next, add your seasoning. Add your Weber's Kick'N Chicken(1 1/2 teaspoons), 1/4 teaspoon black pepper, 1/4 teaspoon garlic salt and 1 1/2 teaspoon Chef Merito's Steak & Meat Seasoning and stir content. Then add your frozen veggies. Stir pot content together and then add 2 1/2 cups of water. Stir until all content have mixed completely to a beautiful symphony. Lol... Remember to taste and then cover pot and let cook until water content has been absorbed by your rice. This should take about 15-18 minutes.

Your food is ready! Dish on to a plate and let cool for 5 minutes and enjoy!

Note that you can see the step by step application on this video:

I hope you enjoyed this post. Make sure to come back for more and remember to subscribe to my blog so you don't miss a thing.

READY FOR THE COLD DAY WITH A BOWL OF CHILI

Hello wonderful, amazing, sweet and lovely friends. How are y'all doing today? I hope y'all are having a great day today and are not letting anyone steal your joy. Welcome to Maryam's Joyful Life. Today is a beautiful day!

It's the winter! That means cold days and colder nights. I don't know about you but I just feel like laying in bed longer because the bed feels particularly cozier in this season. Or is it just me? LOL!

I love cooking for my family. I also know that I have to be wise with what I cook and how much I cook. There are days when I don't feel like spending too much time in the kitchen. It is because of such days that I make a big pot of chili or soup that can be easily warmed up and eaten for a couple of days. Today is one of such days for me.

I made a delicious pot of chili using a range of ingredients from Great Value to Clover Valley. These are Walmart and Dollar General stores brands respectively. I love how affordable their store brand items are. Before sharing pictures with you all, I wanted to first share what I learned recently from a Hallmark movie that I had watched recently. Prior to watching that movie, I didn't know the difference between wooden and metal spoons. Wooden spoons have wider spouts because they are better used for combining and mixing spices and ingredients in the pot. Metal spoons on the other hand, are designed to be used for serving the food. And I had no idea 😀. Did you always know this information? Share below.

Recipe List:

 Clover Valley Crushed Tomatoes

2 Packs of McCormick Chili seasoning and 3 Clover Valley Chili Ready Beans

A tea spoon of salt and 1/2 a table spoon of Caldo de Res(optional)

A tea spoon of Great Value Italian Seasoning

2 Pounds Pack of Ground Beef. Cook in a sauce pan/pot with chopped onion and garlic until brown.

Drain grease and rinse with about 2 1/2 cups of water.
Place pot/pan on stove at medium heat. Add beans, tomatoes and all spices and stir until perfectly combined. Cook covered for 25 minutes. Turn off heat and let sit, to cool for about 10-15mins and then enjoy😋!

You can enjoy plain or with cheese!

I hope you enjoy trying out this recipe!

Until next time.
Many blessings to you and your family!

I LOVE BREAKFAST TIME WITH MY FAMILY

Hello wonderful, amazing, sweet and lovely people. How are y'all doing today? I hope y'all are having a great day today and are not letting anyone steal your joy. Welcome to Maryam's Joyful Life. Today is a beautiful day!

It is always amazing to write. Anytime I get the opportunity to blog, I feel very happy and blessed!

What makes you feel particularly blessed? Share with me in the comments below.

My sweet family loves to eat. Food is a tradition in our home and we all enjoy it. I am very thankful for the ability God has given me to cook and enjoy the food with my sweet family.
My sweet man loves eating together as a family. It's something he looks forward to whenever he is off work and can eat breakfast with us. So, I decided to go all out this time. Our normal breakfast is sausage biscuits and water. The kids usually eat breakfast before we do and they enjoy their warm cereal. I decided to break the norm and give us something different to eat.

My menu was bacon, sausage biscuits, apple juice, tater tots, and apple slices. My sweet man was so thankful for breakfast and I was very happy. The food was so good and so much that I took a nap after breakfast. We ate everything except for the tater tots.
I also filmed the process for my internet family. If you want to hangout with me in the kitchen and with us at the dining table, watch the video?:

God is good, God is love and I am so thankful to Him for my family and His many blessings.
Until next time.

COOKING IS SOMETHING I LOVE DOING|| Taco SEASONING Review

Hello wonderful, amazing, sweet and lovely people. How are y'all doing today? I hope y'all are having an amazing time today and not letting anyone steal your joy. Welcome to Maryam's Joyful Life! Today has been an amazing day.

So, for those of you who have been following my blog for a while, you know that I love cooking. I often say that I cook with love and passion. My love for cooking will only keep growing and expanding. I love the fact that I could whip up a mean freshly made food from all fresh ingredients in my kitchen. No wonder, my kids won't eat certain foods at some restaurants, except it's made by mama😊. I'm really proud of my cooking skills. Can you cook? What's your favorite thing to cook? Please share in the comment below.

I made a commitment to myself that I was going to share my tips on certain spices and seasoning that I have tried. Here's my review on taco seasoning.
So, if you're familiar with grocery stores in America, there are name brands seasoning and value seasoning. The value seasonings or brands at stores such as Walmart, Target, Public etcetera are brands that are owned by the stores they are found in.

It is no news that Walmart is the place I do most of my grocery shopping at. Walmart has it ALL! Their store brand items are called "Great Value."

There are certain things that I will not buy Great Value. Such as their apple juice. It doesn't taste the same. Anyways, back to the taco seasoning. I have tried a variety of brands from Old El paso, to Great Value, to McCormick and I tell you, they all taste the same! The more expensive one is McCormick's taco seasoning; just wanted to put it out there lol...

There are certain seasonings and spices such as vanilla extract and others that I would only buy McCormick's though 😃, but taco seasoning, is not one of them.

If you were looking to buy taco seasoning and the brand you'd  normally buy is not available, try the others because, from my experience, they are all the same.
I think that we as people, are creatures of habit. When we've become used to one particular brand, we don't want to try any other one, until that brand is not available when we need it the most. That's when some of us would stretch.

I hope that this post helps you in some way because it was a delight writing it😊.

Until next time,

Stay cool in this summer heat!
Maryam💕
