MY FAMILY DINNER AT CARRABBAS ITALIAN GRILL|| RESTAURANT REVIEW

Good morning, wonderful, amazing, sweet and lovely people. Today is a beautiful day and life is always working for me even when it rains and I am soaked by it, it is always working for me lol.

Last Sunday, my sweet babies and I went to Carrabbas Italian Grill in Peachtree City, Georgia. I had presented the idea to my babies a few weeks earlier and they were down with it. So we made our trip to Carrabbas after church service last Sunday. I must say that it was an amazing experience. The food and people were amazing. The atmosphere is very family oriented. I loved the booth we were seated. My kids had an amazing time.

We ordered some steak, mashed potatoes. Meatballs and pasta and some fries. I really enjoyed my meal. My picky eater; Levy, ate his food too. I asked him if he would love to go back, he said yes. When Levy gives his approval, you know it is really good. My Zozo could not wait to dig into her food too. Zozo who is my amazing eater and food reviewer, when she was asked if she approved of Carrabbas, she said yes.

I would like to encourage you to try them out in your city if you haven't already been and I believe that you too, will enjoy the food and service.

Here's a video of our experience:

MY EXPERIENCE WITH ASIAN SNACKS|| ASIAN SNACKS REVIEW

Hello wonderful, amazing, sweet and lovely people. How are you all doing today? I hope you're having a great day today and are not letting anyone steal your joy. Welcome to Maryam's Joyful Life. Today is a beautiful day! Thank you for stopping by.

So, I love food. You will hear me say that many times and that's because I do. Food is not great for survival, it's a cultural celebration. For me, food speaks to me about the culture of the people the food came from. Food is another way to express the richness of a culture and their values. It tells the stories of generations past and experiences had. I love food. Lol... I just said it again.

My picky eater

What I really love about my love for food is that I can also cook food. I am always checking out different recipes and experimenting in my kitchen. I freaking love food. Anyways, this blog is about my experience with Asian food.

A few days ago, my children and I visited an Asian Farmer's Market in Morrow, Georgia. The market is called Nam Dae Mun. It's a very big market with a variety of foods and groceries displayed across the vast floor. My intention was to buy a bunch of Asian snacks, actually I intended to buy some Korean snacks but ended up with some Japanese yummy snacks instead. While walking about the store looking for snacks, I came across awhole isle of yummy looking candies and I had to get some of them. We got some coffee candy, watermelon gummies, some peach gummies, mango marshmallows, some sesame seed cookies and two bags of chips.

My foodie

My son is a picky eater but I encourage him to try new foods. My daughter on the other hand, is a foodie and would fight for her food lol. She likes food like me. I want my children to be vast in their experience of the world and eat foods from different cultures. I hope that as we continue to share our experiences, we inspire others to try new foods.

To watch our reactions, please watch this video👇

I really liked all the snacks we got. I will be going back to get some more later. Trying foods from different cultures is fun and exciting. I get to give my taste buds a journey through time and cultures. It is truly amazing. Have you ever tried Asian snacks, what's your favorite snack? Please recommend in comment below.

HOW MINT AND GINGER ROOT TEA CURES HEADACHES AND REDUCE STRESS|| NATURAL REMEDY

What's up wonderful, amazing, sweet and lovely people. How are you all doing today? I hope you are all having a great day today and are not letting anyone steal your joy. Welcome to Maryam's Joyful Life. Today is a beautiful day. Thank you all for joining me.
I love tea! Especially natural teas. I don't like caffeine though. Caffeine gives me a headache. I don't like that.

A few days ago, I did a live video on my channel. I have linked the video to this post. I shared my favorite tea recipe and promised myself to make a blog post about it. I love peppermint and ginger. I make mint and ginger tea a lot. I make them separately and combined. I have a jar of dried peppermint leaves I bought a while back from Amazon; here's the link to get it  https://amzn.to/2QxDuzp

From drinking these teas separately, I have discovered some personal benefits from them. I notice that whenever I have a headache, peppermint tea cures it after a few sips. Peppermint also refreshes my body after a very stressful day. Here's how I make it:

I get a couple of tablespoons of dried peppermint leaves and pour it into my teapot containing two cups of water. I boil and turn off the stove. I let it brew on the warm stove top for about 5-7 minutes before serving. I get a filter and filter the leaves out into a cup. Add a teaspoon of honey and it is ready for my enjoyment.

Ginger roots are great for your digestive system. I love ginger tea. I have found that it cleanses my system and using the restroom is easy and it cures gas too. It's awesome!

I love the spicy taste and combined with a little bit of honey, oh my! It's heavenly!

This is how I make my Ginger root tea: I get a couple of medium size heads and pound in my mini pestle mortar. You can blend it, if you don't have a pestle mortar. I then put it into my tea pot containing a pot of water. Then I boil. I then turn off the stove and let sit for about 5 minutes and then I filter the bark from the tea into my favorite tea cup. I add a tablespoon of honey and stir. Then I take a sip and enjoy!

This the honey I have been using. Mountain ridge 100% Natural honey. I got it from Walmart.

This is my teapot. It's a beautiful kettle by Portobelo which I bought from Ross Stores.

Here's my glorious cup of tea. Truly a glorious experience whenever I make this tea.

I make a combined Ginger and Peppermint tea. Follow the steps already shared but add both ingredients to the pot of water and boil. It's truly refreshing.

I hope you have enjoyed this post. It gives me so much joy to be able to share things that I love with you.

I hope to see you next time.

With gratitude,

Maryam

MEXICAN CHURROS|| MY REVIEW OF AUTHENTIC MEXICAN CHURROS

What's up wonderful, amazing, sweet and lovely people. How are you all doing today? I hope you're all having an amazing day today and are not letting anyone steal your joy. Welcome to Maryam's Joyful Life. Today is a beautiful day. Thank you all for joining me.

This is the picture of my actual Churros😆

Today is about food the blog. I love food, as I have said many times before. Food is life to me. You eat to live and food helps you think. The right kind of food that is... Lol. Food can make you sleep too.

I enjoy food from different cultures around the world and I am on a food tasting program and muckbang for the next 6 weeks. Last week, I tried Korean food for the first time and this week, I don't know what I am going to be trying yet. When I do, I will film it and make a blog post about it.

So, about a week ago, I tried Mexican Churros for the first time. It was amazing! I couldn't put it down until I finished eating each stick.

My Chorros history: I had seen one of my very good friends; Tanya, eat it with her family a few times and thought it looked really delicious. I finally had my chance to try it.

That day, I wasn't even thinking about Churros at all. In fact, I stopped by Nam Dae Mun International Market for some amazing Korean food. While my sweet baby, Zozo and I were walking around the store, we came across a Mexican bakery within the store and I suddenly remembered Churros. It just came to my mind fro nowhere and I immediately walked up to the counter and asked one of the bakers if they made Churros and she said they did. I later came to find out there are different types of Churros. They had Vanilla and Caramel Churros. Of course I ordered one of each.

They were so yum. They were soft and buttery and delicious. I loved it so much that I ate the whole thing in less than 3 minutes.

If you are looking to try a new snack and you ain't scared of sugar, give Mexican Churros a try. You just might find your new favorite snack like I did.

Now I want to go back to Nam Dae Mun and get me some Churros.

Thank you for reading my blog today.

I hope you have an amazing day and week.

With gratitude,

Maryam

MY EXPERIENCE WITH KOREAN FOOD|| FOOD REVIEW

What's up wonderful, amazing, sweet and lovely people. How are you all doing today? I hope you're having an amazing day today and are not letting anyone steal your joy. Welcome to Maryam's Joyful Life. Today is a beautiful day. Thank you for joining me today.

So, I love food and I love trying foods from different cultures. Although,  I haven’t had the opportunity to try many different cultural foods but for a few. I am always excited to try a new delicacy from a new culture.

A few days ago, I made up my mind that I would try Korean. I have a friend who has a multi cultural family. Her husband is Korean and she includes his culture to her family dynamic. I love watching their family dynamics on YouTube: YouTube.com/mazelee.
Their Korean food is so appealing. My friend has learned to cook Korean dishes too and I think it's amazing. Since I’m a foodie, I always wondered how it would be like to eat some Korean food. Would it taste like Chinese? I was curious and my taste buds were ready. Anyways, I finally did.

Coincidentally, I had scheduled to try different foods from different cultures for my food channel. My goal with this idea is to encourage people to try foods from different cultures.
Anyways, me and my sweet baby; Zozo went to Morrow, GA, to pickup our new modem from Xfinity. When we finished at the xfinity office, the thought came to me to pickup some Korean food and film it for my channel.

Well, I quickly googled Korean Restaurants near me and Google gave me a list. I picked the one with the best review and it led me Nam DAE Mun International Market, Morrow, GA. Within this market is a Korean restaurant called Eat More Korean.
I was so excited for this experience and wanted to share it with you. So we vlogged while we were there. Please watch shared video for our experience:

When we got to the register at the restaurant, I asked the cashier for the list of most ordered foods by newbies to Korean foods. Well, she gave me 3 items on the bestseller list and I went with Korean BBQ beef with rice and Korean Short Rib Soup and I had kimchi, sautéed curly flower and some rice as sides.
Our Muckbang Video

The food was absolutely amazing. I couldn’t stop eating.
One of my sweet friends has suggested I try the BBQ ribs next time. I will be going back for it soon.
I will be filming and taking pictures for the blog and my channels. So, be on the look out for it.

I loved the seasoning of the food and everything was amazing. I’m very happy. I can’t wait to try another food from a different culture.
What’s your favorite Korean food?
Please share. If you live in Atlanta, where is another Korean restaurant that I could try?
The lady at the front desk of Eat More Korean Restaurant, was very helpful to me and she is amazing at customer service. I give this restaurant a solid 5 STAR!!!

Thank you for reading my blog today.

With gratitude,
Maryam
