OUR GREAT WOLF LODGE EXPERIENCE FOR LEVY'S BIRTHDAY

The wolves are ready to go haha

Good morning, wonderful, amazing, sweet and lovely people. It is amazing to be here today. I am excited to share pictures from our Great Wolf Lodge experience.

Our cabin room was spacious and on the first floor.

As you guys may have already seen, we had a blast at Great wolf lodge and even uploaded some amazing content for you all.  I just wanted to put this out there; Great Wolf Lodge is a great place for family. I love the experience and the kids are already talkiing about going back. I will take them back there soon.

Here's Our arrival day at the lodge and cabin tour vlog. Check it out...

I was not in the kids' way at all. I wanted to have fun as much as they did too. So, I let them explore the waterpark on their own and that is why I love Great Wolf  Lodge. Everything is together and in one place for the kids to explore. As a mom, I want to make sure my kids are always safe and I don't have to worry about them wherever we go. Comparing Great Wolf Lodge to Sea World; the differenc is night and day! There's not a lot of walking. It is a closed water park and the kids feel safe and ready to dive deep into their play time.

In this video, we share our buffet experience and it was wonderful. I paid for one and all three of us ate until we were full and we had unlimited return dyuring breakfast. They also had a wide range and varieties of foods att he buffet and EVERYTHING was GOOD!! Our experience was amazing and I highly recommend Great Wolf Lodge!

The water park is spacious and neat for kids
Le'Veon havign a blast in the lazy river

Zozo staning in front of the sprinklers and water pipes

Zoe relaxing and waiting on the waves to come through. The waves in the beach like water, were amazing! Zozo and I enjoyed it.

Zozo and I enjoying the waves

Mr. Levy took a break from swimming and rolling with the waves to take a picture with us.

This fun dragon is available for anyone to take picture with it.
Breakfast was fresh and delicious
Le'Veon fueled before going crazy in the water park:)
We had one of the staff take our picture during breakfast at the buffet
The kids had a blast and I did too.

This was our last day; we had to get a good swim and enjoy the water park before checking out.

Great Wolf Lodge offers a full day water park expereince for guests after they checkout. I really like their service and highly recommend them.

OUR VACATION TO COLORADO

Good afternoon, wonderful, amazing, sweet and lovely people. Thank you for checking out my blog today. I am so happy to post a blog today. Hope you all have been doing good.

The kids and I took a vacation to the mountains of Colorado. It was a very beautiful experience for all of us. During this trip, we enjoyed a lot of firsts, especially for Le'Veon and Zoe. They got to fly for the first time and saw 8 inches of snow, horses, wild turkeys and bisons. Needless to say that I was unneccessarily troubled about how they would handle flying for the first time.

My advise to parents who are thinking about flying or going on a trip. Just do it and don't worry too much. Plan ahead, make sure you have all necessary documents you need. If local flight, you need your government id and all of your boarding passes for you and the kids.

I prepared for our trip and brought documents I didn't need but hey, it's always better to over-prepare than under-prepare :) LOL!

Zozo and I posed for a shot on the plane.
Le'Veon helped Beth clean out the coral and feed the horses in the snow. He had a blast. Watch the video here:

Le'Veon was fascinated with the snow and couldn't stop playing with it. It was such a beautiful sight to see.

We went to Bishop's castle to see the wonders of the Bishop's family. Recommend for adults but not really kid's friendly because of the large holes in certain places.

We took this picture at the chapel in Bishop's castle. Apparently, you can book this as a wedding venue.

This was taken outside Bishop's castle. We made made some amazing memories during this trip and will be going back again soon.

More blogs to come about our experience.

MY CHRISTMAS RECAP AND STORY

Hello wonderful, amazing, sweet and lovely people. I hope this blog meets you well. It is always a blessing to share a post with you on this blog. I hope you had a blissful, joyful and an amazing Christmas celebration with your family.

I sure did have a one of a kind Christmas and Birthday celebration this year. I am talking about how I felt and the whole atmosphere. I found myself counting my blessings most of the time. This Christmas got me thinking about how far I have come and how good my God is.

I remember one Christmas a few years back, I was pregnant with my first child and was staying at a friend's house while she was away. Things didn't turn out right and we were kicked out in the rain. That was not a good experience but it taught me one thing; there's nothing like having your own house.

Being in this position of having my own space and the prosperity to maintain and keep rising, makes my life so beautiful and I have God to thank for that.

During the holidays, I always go over the top, I mean I cook everything and all things I could cook. Then I end up throwing out a whole lot of food later. I don't like throwing away food. Well, to make a change this year, I decided to do something different this time. I made fufu and egusi soup for Christmas this year. Yasss! Check out my instagram for the reels. Follow me on instagram https://www.instagram.com/maryamsjoyfullifeblog/

Although I still baked cookies with my baby girl; sweet Zozo this year, as I have always done, all the other extras such as ham, turkey, rolls, mashed potatoes and gravy I skipped on purpose this year. It felt great to just enjoy the holiday without the guilt of all the waste of leftovers. I rested like I have not rested in a while and it felt great too! I refused to allow myself feel guilty for not repeating the tradition of cooking all things and everything and I felt great!

The kids had a great time too. Our time during the Christmas celebration was peaceful, joyful and amazing. Everyone was healthy and merry and that was more than I could ask for. We even made a gingerbread house :). See that video on https://www.instagram.com/maryamsjoyfullifeblog/

I believe enjoying every moment with family during the holidays and counting your blessings instead of comparing your life to other people's is a healthy way to spend the holiday season. Because when we count our blessings, we draw more blessings into our lives.

I have so much to be grateful for this holiday and my peace of mind is top of the list.

Don't let anyone steal your joy!

OUR FAMILY HALLOWEEN FUN DAY

Good morning, wonderful, amazing, sweet and lovely people. I hope you all had a great weekend. Today is an amazing day and I am so happy to bring a new blog your way. Happy new month and Welcome to Maryamsjoyfullife. Today is a beautiful day!

This past week was fun for me and my kids becasue there was a lot of trunk or treat events happeneing at the same time. The kids of course enjoyed dressing up in their costumes and going to these events. I have one problem right now, there's wayyy too much candy in the house and  I'm over here thinking about how to make sure they don't eat too much of these candies.

Here are some pictures from the event. The kids had their faces painted for the first time. Zozo chose a Dolphin, Levy chose spiderman and I was already the cat.

My favorite event the kids went to was the one that was hosted by Limitless church yesterday. We volunteered our truck and went by early. I forgot to get halloween decor for my truck but thnakfully, there was an amazing friends whom I met at the event who shared her decor with me. Sh ehad bought one too many for herself and had some to spare. I was truly grateful for her help. I also forgot to bring candy. Thankfully, one of our pastors had some to spare and that was how my butt was saved.

The kids had a blast, I had a blast and everyone had a blast also!

OUR CHRISTMAS PHOTO PORTRAITS STORY

What's up wonderful, amazing, sweet and lovely people. How are you all doing today? I hope you're all having a great day today and are not letting anyone steal your joy. Welcome to Maryam's Joyful Life. Today is a beautiful day. Thank you all for checking out my blog today.
Christmas is almost here and everyone is scrambling to take their annual family Christmas picture and I am not exempted from that list. In fact, I started thinking about my Holiday picture as far back as early October. LOL!

I actually asked a photographer in my community how much it would cost to take family Holiday pictures and I was quoted $150 for HD Digital copies with no outfit changes for the family. I was excited to do it but this photographer is very good and highly booked. SO the thought dawned on me that I could take the pictures myself. After all, I am a blogger, I take pictures all the time.

I had one fear though and that was "how would the kids respond to taking these photos?" See, my kids don't mind filming but when it comes to sitting down for an organized photo session, Le'Veon might let me take a photo or two but Zozo is harder to convince.

A few hours before the session, I told them we were taking some Christmas pictures. I still had a bit of nervousness as to how it would all go. But when it was time, all that nervousness I had vanished. Le'Veon and Zoe were so co-operative that I almost forgot they were the same babies. LOL! Christmas time is truly a time of miracles. This photo session, was my first Christmas miracle with my children.
I still wonder how other mom bloggers do it. How do they get their kids to take those adorable photos? I  often wonder because my kids have their own minds, I have to always prepare myself for whatever response I get from them. It is fascinating to me. And again, I have always wanted to have babies who have their own minds and are not afraid to express their minds. Let's just say I got exactly what I asked for in my babies.
Thank you for reading my blog to the end. I hope this season is filled with unexpected miracles for you and your family.

With gratitude,
Maryam
p.s. all pictures were taken on my iPhone 8 plus!

MOMMY CHALLENGES ARE REAL BUT THEY ARE PART OF THE GAME

What's up wonderful, amazing, sweet and lovely people. How are you all doing today? I hope you are all having an amazing day today and are not letting anyone steal your joy. Welcome to Maryam's Joyful Life! Today is a beautiful day. Thank you for stopping by.

So, I am a mom of two amazing babies. I understand the struggles of sleepless nights when your little ones are not feeling well. I understand the constant thinking to make sure you remember your little ones' appointments and important events. I understand the constant second-guessing yourself in the hope of giving your best to your children always.

I also understand that all you can do is your best. You will mess up but messing up is part of the experience and  joy of being a mother. Don't beat yourself too hard about not being enough because you've always been more than enough. You have God helping you out every step of the way. Always pray for God's guidance and protection over you and your kids.

When I am tempted to feel down, I am constantly reminding myself to focus on God's love for me. His love is more than able to carry me through any difficulty. I know that I am limited but combining my limitations to God's Omnipresent Possibilities, creates magic in my life. So, I am going to constantly rely on God's power and presence. I want to encourage you to do the same. Never compare yourself to anyone. Never compare your children to anyone and never ever allow the enemy to make you feel like you are not good enough because Mama you ROCK!!

Thank you for reading my post to the end.

With love and gratitude,
Maryam

OUR WEEKEND GETAWAY AT THE HYATT REGENCY ATLANTA|| HOTEL REVIEW

Hello wonderful, amazing, sweet and lovely people. How are y'all doing today? I hope you're all having  a great day and are not letting anyone steal your joy. Welcome to Maryam's Joyful Life. Today is a beautiful. Thank you all for joining me today.
We booked our stay using Booking.com
My sweet babies and I spent a much needed time at the Hyatt Regency Atlanta in the month of July, 2020. This was our first stay at The Hyatt and I must say that I was very impressed with the hotel and the staff.
Upon arrival, we were met with a few smiling faces who were ready to assist us. It was a pleasant sight and experience.

Valet service was exquisite. Our car was always ready whenever we needed it and the staff was always prompt on our request. CAUTION: Valet parking costs $50 per night. If you don't want to use Valet services, you have the option of parking your car at a public parking lot about a block away from the hotel. If you asked me, I'd recommend Valet services at the hotel, especially, if you have kids. The last thing you want to do is drag your luggage and your kids through the busy streets. Just thinking about it alone is dreadful to me.

Their gym was fully loaded with great workout machines. I enjoyed using their Peloton Stationary Bike and benches.
The kids had fun working out too

I couldn't imagine dragging my luggage and managing two toddlers, while trying to keep them safe in the busy downtown traffic. Although, I thought that $50 was a little too high for overnight parking, I paid for the services anyway. I was prepared. Always make sure you are prepared for unexpected expenses and tips, when taking a trip

Upon reaching the lobby, we encountered some friendly staff at the check-in desk who were very happy to assist us however they could. They were very nice ladies.
Watch our Hotel Lobby Tour here:

Due to COVID-19, many of their services are limited and some essential services such as changing your bedding and cleaning your room are on request. The management is limiting close contacts as much as possible to prevent the spread of the virus.
I was a little disappointed that the restaurant was closed because I wanted my kids to experience room service for the first time. The hotel has a little cafe called The Market, located at the lobby. They have breakfast and lunch on-the-go. I didn't order breakfast nor lunch because they didn't have what I wanted on the menu.

Thank God for Door Dash. I ordered some delicious food from local restaurants using my Door Dash App and I must recommend Door Dash. If you haven't downloaded the App yet, please do. You will find it very useful when you're travelling or even at home.

My kids enjoyed exploring the lobby and the hotel in general. It was truly an enjoyable experience for us.
The view from our room was fun. My son was fascinated with all the tall buildings that he could see through our balcony window. He couldn't stop telling me about how gigantic the buildings were.

The room decor was simple and elegant. I loved the natural tone decor and lamps. They even have Google chrome on their flat screen TVs. That was life saving because my kids wanted to watch their favorite YouTube shows and kept asking me to turn it on. It took us a second to figure it out. After I had tried for over 2 hours trying to get it to work, I gave up. When we asked the staff at the lobby for help, they offered it. A technician was sent to our room within the hour to fix it for us. I thought that was great service too.

My kids had a pee explosion the night before and when I called for new sheets, the hotel responded promptly. Another great service in my book.

Our weekend was enjoyable and fun. The kids and I can't wait to go back to the Hyatt again.
We signed up for World of Hyatt App and the perks available are incredible. You could win free hotel stays and more. What?!! One amazing feature that I really like in the App is; Room key. Your room key can be activated on your App. In the event that you lose your key, your App can be used to access the doors. Isn't that cool?! In addition to that, Google Chrome can be accessed using the App as well.

The Hyatt Regency Atlanta is situated at a great location and is a great place to consider when taking a trip.
I have the desire to travel more with my kids and by the grace of God, we will travel more. As the world gets back in order and things settle, we will be taking short trips and checking out new places. I will be very happy to share our experience with you all.
Until then...
I hope you have a fantastic day.
Don't be afraid to pursue any dream you have. Live life to the fullest each day.

With gratitude,
Maryam

JURASSIC WORLD DINOSAUR EVENT EXPERIENCE WITH LEVY AND ZOZO

Good morning, wonderful, amazing, sweet and lovely friends. How are you all doing today? I hope you're all having a great day today and are not letting anyone steal your joy. Welcome to Maryam's Joyful Life. Today is a beautiful day. Thank you for being a part of my world.

Last Friday(July 31), I took my kids to a Jurassic World Drive Through Dino event, at Atlanta Motor Speedway and it was amazing.
My kids love dinosaurs and when I found out about this event, I couldn't resist taking them to experience it. I had never been to a Movie Franchise event like this before. So, when this opportunity came, I couldn't resist it.
During my break hour at work a few days before the event, I purchased the tickets for us and told the kids about it.

Le'Veon loves his Dinos, so he was very excited when I told him about the event. Zo'e was excited as well but I was more interested in seeing Le'Veon's reaction to the Dinos.
When we got there, the arrangement of the Dinos were very well thought out and organized. I liked the display of make-belief Sea World and Land. The sizes of the Dinos and their characters were amazing.
There was a good number of families there as well. Just like us, they came to experience the show.
I think the staff and organizers of the show did an awesome job.

So, I pranked Le'Veon and Zo'e at the event. I had one of the workers with a baby Dino in his hand to get it closer to the kids. It was so funny. They thought it was real and started screaming. Their reaction was captured on camera. Make sure to watch the video to experience it with us. Each time we drove closer to a huge Dino, he'd start asking me to take him home lol...
As we came close to the end of our experience, Le'Veon asked if we could stay for a little longer and when I said we couldn't, he was upset.
On the drive home, he said I should take him back so he could experience it again. I told him may be next time but not right at that moment.

Zo'e was calm and happy with the experience. Although, I was a little worried that her car seat was keeping her from enjoying the experience and seeing the big and small Dinos. It turned out she enjoyed it.
I love giving my kids great experiences and memories. Going to the Dino show, is one I will cherish for a long time. We still have many more adventures to experience and I am excited to think about them.

Watch the video here:

Thank you for reading my blog today. Please enjoy the pictures and try to attend the show if you haven't already. You will enjoy it.

With gratitude,
Maryam
