Today is a beautiful day and I was just thinking about how sometimes we get so frazzled with what is going on in our lives and forget to breathe. We get so carried away by what is going on in our lives that we forget to allow God help us. We have been programmed to worry about things we can't control and things that no longer serve us. I would like to encourage us to focus on things we can control and let God help us with the things we can't control.
In fact, I commit everything in God's hands it doesn't matter how large or small. God has been faithful. I have resolved that I can't ever live my life without surrendering to God every step of the way. I believe in the power of God. I believe in the Grace that came through Jesus Christ.
Life is beautiful when we surround ourselves with the light of God. God is always faithful and I can't lose sight of God's goodness. I keep encouraging folks to trust God in all things.
As we approach the New Year, I would like to encourage us to trust God more and make a decision to not worry regardless of what is going on. The more we worry the harder we make things for ourselves. God has not given us the spirit of fear but the spirit of love, power and a sound mind. Declare the word over your life always and watch God do things that you could never make happen for yourself.

So it's 3 days to Christmas and my birthday. I am so excited for this year. Life has been one colorful ride for me this year. I have had many downs and ups but the ups have far outweighed the downs that I am still in shock of the goodness of God in my life.
Had no idea that I was a popular blogger or that what I did really mattered until this year. My spiritual eyes opened this year and my intuition is at diamond peak. I am truly amazed at the changes.
This year, I celebrate my birthday and Christmas with Jamaican cuisine. I love Jamaican food. My sweet Zozo does too. So, it was a no brainer to prepare a Caribbean style menu for Christmas/My Birthday lol...

Steamed cabbage is delicious. I really like steamed cabbage. It will be a great feast for sure.
African Hen
I bought 10 lbs of African hen. This picture from https://cuisine228.com/african-fried-chicken/ really captures the spirit of my fried chicken plans. There's something about African free range chicken. You have to cook them for long time and fry them to a crisp.
Cake
I got my cake from walmart. It's a chocolate cake and I am looking forward to stuffing my face lol...
You can't have a birthday without a cake to go with it. I am so looking forward to my chocolate cake. My kids lol... are already asking for a slice of the cake and it's not even my birthday yet. I keep explaining to them that it's not time yet.

2020!!! WHAT A YEAR?! This year has truly been THAT YEAR not just for me, but for the world in general. How so much changed. Unexpected virus that took the world by storm and strange things happening all over the world. Also the year we saw an Immigrant, black, Asian woman become Madam Vice- President Elect of the United States of America! WHAT A YEAR?!!
Personally, my life was planned to be shattered by the devil. The enemy thought they had the final say about my life but GOD, MY GOD who is Mighty to save said NO!!! Don't touch my anointed or do my prophet no harm!
I am a living proof of the transformational power of God! I wouldn't be alive today but for the MERCY of JEHOVAH! How they ganged up together, how they plot and planned but He whose eyes are everywhere, saw their plans and scattered them! He ain't even done with me yet. God is not through with me. Better is coming, better is now and better is being birthed.
For years I trusted the Lord and prayed for a breakthrough. I approached God like a beggar and cried out for mercy. I repented from known and unknown sins but nothing happened. I even sowed seeds I didn't have and gave everything I had hoping that maybe The Lord will take pity on me and grant my request but NOTHING happened. It was just as if each time I prayed and gave and sowed, I was heating up the fire and pain of my situation. Until my worldview on God changed. Until I realized the power of vibrations, until I discovered the Secret of manifestation. Until I found out God moves toward those who vibrate at the level of the good they desire. Until I found out fear is my enemy and joy is my best friend.
God can't do for me what He can do through me. Everything I had been praying for was always available to me but I was too blinded by fear, tradition and falsehood called religion to see it. I thought I could access God's provision by my holiness or offerings. I didn't know that all I had to do was give thanks as if my pain is gone. Give thanks as if God has already provided and really feel that all that I desired was already mine.

Pastor Stephen Furtick said something profound the other day. He said Favor requires that we come from where we want God to place us and give thanks as though we are already what we desire God to make of us or give us. I paraphrased his words but I got the revelation.
I used to wonder why things didn't always turn out the way I desired but now I see that there's so much power in our confession and visualization. We have to feel the blessings in order to embody the blessings.
God is good! Now, I approach God in a different manner. My heart is full of gratitude and confidence assurance that God is for me and that His mercies are new every morning.
I give thanks like I am that which I desire to be because I truly am. I see things clearly now, not from the perspective of a "sinner," but from the perspective of a Child of the Creator.
2020 was meant to break me but it was all a setup for a breakthrough! God, my God is MIGHTY TO SAVE!

We are all molded to fail as long as we focus on the physical world of sense. We are molded to fail and lose faith. God never meant for us to focus on what we see, hear, touch and taste. God is a spirit and if we must please God, we must know that God IS and that He rewards us as we approach Him in faith and expectation.
Where your strength fails and where all you know stops, that's where God leads you. You've got to trust that God will take you higher. God cares for you and loves you so much. You are God's prized possession. Whatever your desire may be, however many times you've failed, God is your helper NOW! I remember many years ago, when I wanted a travel to the U.S., I had many oppositions but my faith in God kept me going and brought me all that my heart desires.
Here's a list of strategies that helped me get scholarship and this can be applied to any situation.
1. Keep practicing your craft.
2. Learn from those who are already doing what you desire to be doing.
3. Get excited about what you desire.
4. Stay away from naysayers and negative people.
5. See yourself living that dream.
6. Be around people who believe in your dream and in you.

Today, I want to share a very inspiring story I received via email yesterday with you. I hope you enjoy it and remember to be grateful no matter what the situation. The following story I am about to share, is from Proctor Gallagher Institute.
A blind boy sat on the steps of a building with a hat by his feet. He held up a sign which read, “I am blind, please help.”
There were only a few coins in the hat – spare change from folks as they hurried past.
A man was walking by. He took a few coins from his pocket and dropped them into the hat. He then took the sign, turned it around, and wrote some words.
Then he put the sign back in the boy’s hand so that everyone who walked by would see the new words.
Soon the hat began to fill up. A lot more people were giving money to the blind boy.
That afternoon, the man who had changed the sign returned to see how things were.
The boy recognized his footsteps and asked, “Were you the one who changed my sign this morning? What did you write?”
The man said, “I only wrote the truth. I said what you said but in a different way.” I wrote, “Today is a beautiful day, but I cannot see it.”
Both signs spoke the truth. But the first sign simply said the boy was blind, while the second sign conveyed to everyone walking by how grateful they should be to see…
When your life seems full of troubles, it seems difficult to maintain an attitude of gratitude, doesn’t it? All we see are our problems, like a blackened storm cloud casting a dark shadow over our lives.
And the times when everything just seems to be going smoothly? We often take these precious moments for granted too, don’t we? Caught up in the bliss, comfort, and familiarity of it all, we can simply forget to be thankful.
So what, then, is gratitude?
Simply put, gratitude is a habit. It’s a way of looking at the world and all the good things in it with a feeling of appreciation, regardless of whether or not your current situation is to your liking.
Gratitude is a heart-centered approach to being at peace with yourself and with all you have. When you practice this feeling of gratitude, it attracts even MORE things into your life for which to be grateful.

The Bible says to daily renew our minds and I have been pondering on scriptures that encourage us to watch our thoughts. The more I have meditated on these words and apply them in my life, the better I understand them and the more excited I am to share my discoveries with you all.
Here's an experiment to try, turn your TV off for a few days. Don't watch the news or look at negative social media pages for a couple of days and see how much better you feel. Every outlet we open ourselves to is energy and thought being transmitted to us. Most of which we unconsciously allow to take control of our minds and in so doing, take control of our lives. Our lives move in the direction of our focus. Whether we believe it or not, what we think most of the time, we create and draw to us.
If you want to make changes in your life, start by changing your thoughts. I promise you, if you do this one thing, your life will change. To make this more specific, start thinking more about the things you want and less about the things you do not want. In so doing, you will shift your life in the right direction and events and people will start showing up in your life and mold themselves into the shape of your imagination. In essence, what you think about will begin to manifest in your experience.
God is a good God and has given us power to change our lives. This power lies within us. What you think is given back to you in form of things and experiences. Start thinking good thoughts about you and others and watch what begins to happen in your life.
I want to share the summary of the book " The Science of Getting Rich," by Wallace D. Wattles with you.
"There is a thinking stuff from which all things are made, and which, in its original state, permeates, penetrates. and fills the interspaces of the universe. A thought in this substance produces the thing that is imaged by the thought. Man can form things in his thought, and by impressing his thought upon formless substance can cause the thing he thinks about to be created. In order to do this, man must pass from the competitive to the creative mind; otherwise he cannot be in harmony with the Formless Intelligence, which is always creative and never competitive in spirit. Man may come into full harmony with the Formless Substance by entertaining a lively and sincere gratitude for the blessings it bestows upon him."
When you approach God with a heart of gratitude, good and pleasant things start to happen. I pray that the spirit of your understanding be opened and you're filled with peace and hope for a better tomorrow NOW.

Your best days are still ahead of you. God is about to do something that will cause you to scream for joy. God sees you, knows you and wants to help you. In fact, God is helping you right now. You may not feel it or even see it, but I promise you God is working everything out in your favor. Relax your mind and trust in your Maker- God who breathe you has a plan for your life.
I encourage you to start trusting God's word more than ever. Start believing in the reality of miracles. Miracles are real and God is your biggest fan. Yield today and trust God. I believe that as you do, your life will take a new turn. Stop trying to figure out how, just surrender to the Grace of God that came through Jesus and rejoice in that knowledge. Don't let the enemy steal your peace. Take back your peace and rest in the power of God which NEVER fails.
I believe that you will come out of this better than before. I believe that better is here. I believe better is now and I want to say "Congrats!" God's got you! You are in for an extraordinary breakthrough.

It's been very cold in Georgia the past two weeks. Each morning, the temperature has been between 25- 40 degrees Fahrenheit. If you have kids who go to school in the morning, you will know that it's not fun getting out in that cold. Well, last week, it was below freezing and very windy on Monday morning. Le'Veon had school but I knew better than to get my baby out there in such a weather. I wanted to still take him to school in spite of the weather but my car had other plans. Even my battery was too cold to pick up that morning. I needed someone to help jump off my car. So, I was blessed to see one of neighbors out at their car that morning. I asked her to help jump me off and she did. While I was talking to her, I came to find out she was an educator doing remote learning with her students. I asked her opinion about the weather and she said it was very cold and my son wouldn't be missing anything if he didn't go to school that day. I knew I had already made up my mind not to take him to school, I just kinda wanted a second opinion lol.
Most of the time, we know the answer to the questions in our hearts but we are always seeking for these answers outside of us. I believe we should all learn to trust the guidance within us more.
Let me get to the miracle part. For the rest of the week, my battery needed to be jumped by a running car in order to come alive. Well, a couple of days ago, I woke up, meditated, prayed and fed the kids breakfast. I was looking forward to have help starting my battery from a neighbor but was so surprised when I pressed the button on my car keys and my car came alive. I put the key in the ignition and it started. I celebrated like I had just won a lottery. It was a MIRACLE!!! My car started. I didn't need help getting it jumped. God is good!! So many other amazing things happened that day. Why am I sharing this with you? We are programmed to expect bad things to happen and because we expect bad things to happen, we live our lives planning and preparing for them and they happen. We truly don't live when we do this. There's no joy in a life lived expecting something bad to happen. I, for some reason have always looked for the miracle in everything. No matter how difficult or disappointing it may seem, I always look for something in it that brings me hope. I encourage you to do the same. Live your life each day as though it is a miracle and you will experience miracles!

Christmas is almost here and everyone is scrambling to take their annual family Christmas picture and I am not exempted from that list. In fact, I started thinking about my Holiday picture as far back as early October. LOL!
I actually asked a photographer in my community how much it would cost to take family Holiday pictures and I was quoted $150 for HD Digital copies with no outfit changes for the family. I was excited to do it but this photographer is very good and highly booked. SO the thought dawned on me that I could take the pictures myself. After all, I am a blogger, I take pictures all the time.
I had one fear though and that was "how would the kids respond to taking these photos?" See, my kids don't mind filming but when it comes to sitting down for an organized photo session, Le'Veon might let me take a photo or two but Zozo is harder to convince.
A few hours before the session, I told them we were taking some Christmas pictures. I still had a bit of nervousness as to how it would all go. But when it was time, all that nervousness I had vanished. Le'Veon and Zoe were so co-operative that I almost forgot they were the same babies. LOL! Christmas time is truly a time of miracles. This photo session, was my first Christmas miracle with my children.
I still wonder how other mom bloggers do it. How do they get their kids to take those adorable photos? I often wonder because my kids have their own minds, I have to always prepare myself for whatever response I get from them. It is fascinating to me. And again, I have always wanted to have babies who have their own minds and are not afraid to express their minds. Let's just say I got exactly what I asked for in my babies.
